KYUB – Innovative Sonic Culture

A collaborative project between IKLECTIK [UK] and the Institute of Sound [Ukraine].

KYUB is a new collaboration programme between the Institute of Sound in Ukraine & IKLECTIK funded by The House of Europe.  Originally initiated just before the invasion of Ukraine and therefore halted, we are now able to recommence the project.

As part of this initiative, we are pleased to announce an open call for 15 Ukrainian artists based in Ukraine and working in experimental music to be a part of an online residency.

The core aim of this initiative is to create new network opportunities, increase engagement internationally & promote cultural diversity whilst boosting Ukrainian visibility within the music industry.

Each of the 15 selected artists will attend online workshops developed in collaboration with Music Hackspace and Ableton alongside public talks, panel discussions with established academics and music professionals and be asked to create a new sonic piece specifically for the project.

The tracks will be featured on a release & be a part of the final online KYUB event, streamed live from IKLECTIK [UK] and Gasoline Radio [UA].
